Title    STRANGE TIMES

2020   COVID 19 virus spreading like wildfire over the world.    Australia created boundaries closing borders, enforcing physical boundaries of 1.5m between people.   Families were isolated from loved ones.    Galleries, Theatres, Cafes and business closed their doors.

Football teams permitted to cross borders to compete in empty stadiums.

2021   Hope on the horizon for a vaccine for COVID 19.

A confirmed case of COVID 19 creates boundaries isolating Perth and southwest from the rest of W.A.   Boundaries within boundaries.

Disaster strikes in the form of raging Wildfire sweeping across the Hills surrounding Perth.  Devastating properties and homes.  Boundaries are imposed preventing people returning  home. Brave firefighters fight  to save properties in extreme conditions.

I have chosen the magpie as a symbol of the football team breaking the boundaries flying through the smoke  past the NO ENTRY Sign into the path of wildfire. The 2part framing suggests the boundaries within the state.

STRANGE TIMES.
